Abi Subramanian
Senior Advisor
Abi Subramanian joined Galileo Global Advisors as a Managing Director in 2010 and became Senior Advisor in 2012. He is responsible for coordinating the Firm’s Private Equity Placement and Fund Placement activities globally.
Abi has over 16 years of Investment Banking experience focused on high growth issuers in the emerging and developed markets. He has led or been a senior member of the most prolific teams on Wall Street that have been involved in Private Capital Markets. Most recently, he was a Managing Director and head of the Private Equity Placement efforts at Thomas Weisel Partners in New York. He held senior positions at Jefferies & Company , Cowen & Company (originally part of Societe Generale)and ING Barings prior thereto. Abi began his career at NationsBanc Capital Markets in 1994.
Prior to entering Banking, Abi worked briefly as a Management Consultant. He received a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Outside of work, Abi enjoys world travel, current events, fine dining, sports and photography.
